Conditioning class is our physical conditioning where we go over physical exercises for the development of control, strength and flexibility. A great addition for leaders, followers, and solo dancers.
Month 1
Flexibility & Mobility
Incorporate dynamic and static stretching to improve flexibility. Enhance joint mobility, allowing dancers to achieve more expressive movements. Prevent injuries by maintaining a balance between strength and flexibility.
Month 2
Core Strength & Strength Training
Target major muscle groups used in dance. Develop core strength for stability and balance. Build strength in the legs, arms, and back to support various dance movements.
Month 3
Technique Enhancement
Use specific conditioning exercises to target techniques relevant to different dance styles (ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, etc.). Strengthen muscles used in various dance positions and movements.
Month 4
Turns Technique
Correct placement and body positioning for turns (pirouettes) Chaines / Chasse (Corner Work). Learning how to correctly spot.
Month 5
Ankle Strength
Conditioning and strengthening Ankles and Calves. Correcting foot placement in specific dance moves and positions.
Month 6
Kicks & Flexibility
Enhance joint mobility, allowing dancers to achieve more expressive movements. Learning correct body positioning for kicks and the technique to properly kick.
